Music Director - Summer Youth Workshops
Education Apprentice General Duties: Education Apprentices will serve as camp staff for the Lake Dillon Theatre Company’s Summer Youth Workshops. The program entails teaching children from Kindergarten to 9th grade the fundamentals of theatre as well as working towards full productions. Apprentices will work closely with the Director of Education and the Assistant Director of Education to create lesson plans and programming for all age groups. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain teaching experience in a fast-paced summer education program.
Music Director Special Duties: Music Director Apprentice will serve as music director for all LDTC Youth Theatre Workshops. There will also be additional opportunities to collaborate with LDTC’s music director in various other summer performances.
Education/Music Director Apprentice position begins June 4 and ends August 12 (10 Weeks).*
Lake Dillon Theatre Apprentices earn a weekly meal stipend of $150 and a one-time travel stipend of $250.
Apartment-style housing is provided. Apartments consist of three single rooms (each apprentice has their own individual room) and shared spaces including bathroom, kitchen, and living area.
Free public transportation is available with local bus shuttles.
*Please note that there is flexibility on start and end dates. We understand this is a long contract and that students going back to school might not be able to work the full term.
