2019 Apprentice Staff

The Lake Dillon Theatre Company Apprentice Program provides opportunities for young theatre professionals to further develop their careers with on-the-job training in their field of interest. The program bridges the gap between the educational world and the professional world by providing real work experience and credits that help build resumes and skills. Apprentices team up with professionals who serve as mentors and support them during their time at LDTC.


Samantha Reser

Assistant Director of Education
Samantha is thrilled to return to Lake Dillon Theatre Company as the Assistant Director of Education for Summer 2019. She served as an Education Apprentice/Music Director for LDTC in the summer of 2018, and she is coming back fresh off of the Teaching Artist Fellowship at Metro Theater Company. Samantha received her BFA in Theatre for Young Audiences with a minor in Directing from Oklahoma City University and has previous teaching artist experience in theatres such as Lexington Children’s Theatre, Rocky Mountain Theatre for Kids, Hartford Stage, Oklahoma Children’s Theatre, and the Brass Ring. She is dedicated to pursuing a career in children’s theatre because she believes in the power of using theatre to teach about empathy, conflict resolution, and confidence. In the fall, Samantha will begin pursuing her MFA in Theatre for Young Audiences from the University of Central Florida.

Jay Hayden

Education Associate
Jay originally hails from Hebron, CT. He is a recent graduate of the University of Vermont, where he received his B.S. in Secondary Education. During his time at UVM, Jay served as the Artistic Director for The University Players, a student-run production company committed to producing both original and pre-existing work in the city of Burlington. He also founded Name Pending, UVM’s first, finest, (and only) improv troupe. During this time at UVM, Jay additionally performed in many shows, some favorites including Spring Awakening (Moritz), Dog Sees God (CB), and Peter Pan (Peter Pan). He is certified to teach Hgh School English, and is a self-professed Shakespeare buff. Jay has previously worked as an Education Apprentice at LDTC and as a Box Office Manager at Vermont Stage. He is overjoyed to be returning to Silverthorne, and hopes to be an asset to the community in his time here!

Meg Grey

Education Apprentice
Meg is a director, actress, and teaching artist from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She recently graduated with a B.A. in Physical Theatre and Performance from Louisiana State University. As a performer, she has been in several LSU productions, including: Nickel and Dimed (Melissa), Good Kids (Kylie), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Titania), Middletown (Librarian), and As You Like It (Celia). As a teaching artist, Meg has worked with various companies including Playmakers of Baton Rouge, Beyond the Garage, and the Family Missions Company. Her true passion is teaching young actors about theatre and performance through a physical theatre lens, pulling from artforms like puppetry, dance, and clowning. She is thrilled to be joining the Lake Dillon Theatre education team and can’t wait to continue helping young performers discover the magic of live-storytelling.

Savannah Runge

Education Apprentice
Savannah is a rising senior at Northwestern University studying Theatre on the Pre-Medical tract. Growing up in the theatre, her love for the art has stayed strong as she continues to perform on and off campus whenever possible. During the year, she works as a research assistant at a Neurobiology lab. Her passion for arts education arose through her work on the executive board of Seesaw Theatre Company, where she creates theatrical experiences for children on the Autism Spectrum or with other developmental differences. She has produced, directed, and will now be coordinating campus sensory-friendly shows. She is so excited to join the 2019 apprentice team to continue her work in performance, arts education, and accessibility.

Anthony Chen

Education Apprentice
Anthony is native to Fort Lee, NJ. He is grateful to spend this summer in Silverthorne to pursue his passion in theatre music. Anthony is currently a rising junior at the Eastman School of Music, where he studies Music Education as a pianist. He is passionate about theatre education and music and is thankful for the opportunity to work with everyone at here Lake Dillon Theatre Company.


Yael Eden Chanukov

Acting Apprentice
Yael is thrilled to be making her debut at Lake Dillon Theatre Company! She just finished her junior year at the University of Northern Colorado studying Musical Theatre. Her favorite previous roles include Dorothy in Wizard of Oz, Natalie in Next to Normal, Fiona in Shrek, and Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie. She would like to thank her incredible family and friends for being the most kind and supportive human beings to ever have graced the Earth. Cindy Tsai

Acting Apprentice
Cindy is excited to be spending her summer at Lake Dillon Theatre Company! Cindy is a proud Chinese-American actor, always advocating for better representation for people of color in the industry. She is excited to tell the important & necessary story of Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical and to have fun being in Mamma Mia! all summer! Previous credits include A Chorus Line (Connie), Cabaret (Two Ladies feat.), and Company (Marta). This past year, she founded and created A Night Of Color at Pace University with two of her classmates, a cabaret that featured students of color in roles they couldn’t normally play because of their race. Proud student of Pace University Musical Theatre 2021.

Corey Barrow

Acting Apprentice
Corey is so excited to be joining the Lake Dillon Theatre Company family this summer! Corey is a senior musical theatre major at Western Carolina University. Caleb Warren

Acting Apprentice
Caleb is beyond excited to be joining the 2019 Apprentice Company here at Lake Dillon Theatre Company. Caleb is a recent graduate of Western Carolina University in North Carolina where he received a degree in Musical Theatre with a minor in Dance. In his free time, Caleb enjoys being outdoors, eating delicious food, choreographing, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. Alexa Hendrickson

Acting Apprentice
Alexa grew up in Locust, North Carolina, a small town on the outskirts of Charlotte, and she is absolutely thrilled to be joining the Lake Dillon Theatre family this summer! In the fall, she will be a senior at Western Carolina University where she is receiving her BFA in Musical Theatre. Favorite credits include a Silly Girl in Beauty and the Beast, Fraulein “Fritzie” Kost in Cabaret, and Ursula in The Little Mermaid. When she is not on stage, you may find her choreographing a new piece, thrift shopping, rafting, or eating a grilled cheese sandwich. Alexa sends all of her love to her family and pups!

Sofie Flores

Acting Apprentice
Sofie is a Kansas native and a current musical theatre major at the University of Cincinnati (College Conservatory of Music). She has most recently been seen in Hunchback of Notre Dame, Guys and Dolls, and Seussical all at CCM. Maya Pomazal-Flanders

Electrics Apprentice
Maya is absolutely thrilled to be joining the Lake Dillon Theatre Company this summer. Originally from upstate New York, Maya is currently studying at Hartwick College as a Theatre Arts and History double major. Prior credits include The Game’s Afoot, Rabbit Hole, Dracula, The Explorer’s Club, and Wait Until Dark at the Schenectady Civic Playhouse as well as Mary’s Wedding, A Year with Frog and Toad, Hand to God, A.C.R.E, The 39 Steps, and Pink Mist at Hartwick College. When not scrambling up ladders or sitting in rehearsals, Maya loves wandering in the woods, dancing, taking photos, crocheting, testing new recipes, and getting lost in a good book.

Leilas Kaakarni

Costume/Wardrobe Apprentice
Leilas is moving into her fourth year at Oakland University located in Rochester, Michigan. She is pursuing her BFA in Theatre Design in Technology with a focus in costume construction and wardrobe. Leilas began her path in theatre in sound engineering and design, moving into undergrad, she found a love for costuming. She is beyond excited to spend her summer working in this area with Lake Dillon Theatre Company, making new connections, and expanding her skill sets.

Alexis Mancuso

Scenic Charge Apprentice
Alexis is a scenic artist and carpenter from the New Orleans area. She is excited to be joining Lake Dillon Theatre Company this year as their scenic charge apprentice. Alexis began painting as a studio artist, then fell in love with technical theatre in her junior year of high school. She is currently pursuing a B.S. in Theatre with a concentration in Design and Technology from Northwestern State University and will be graduating in Spring 2020. When she’s not in the theatre, you can find Alexis in The Spirit of Northwestern, one of the largest marching bands in the south, promoting music advancement with Sigma Alpha Iota, a professional women’s music fraternity, or enjoying time outdoors.

Shannon Sullivan

Stage Management Apprentice
Shannon Sullivan is a rising sophomore in the BFA Design/Technical Production program at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln with an emphasis in stage management. Born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, she has long dreamed of living in Colorado and couldn’t be more excited to work with the Lake Dillon Theatre Company. Recent credits include: Speech & Debate (Stage Manager), Dry Land (Assistant Stage Manager) and An Act of God (Production Assistant). Before becoming a full-time technician, Shannon was an actor, her favorite role being “JoJo” in Seussical the Musical her senior year of high school. When she’s not backstage, she will likely be found outside with hiking boots, a book, a camera, and her Labradoodle. Shannon is extremely thankful for the endless love and encouragement of her family, friends and educators.

Liam Romano

Scenic/Carpentry Apprentice

Liam Romano an undergraduate at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln majoring in Theatre Design and Technical Production. Prior technical work has been at the Nebraska Repertory Theatre and the Lawrence Arts Center, and he is currently the technical director of Theatrix at UNL. Romano is excited to be a part of the Lake Dillion Theatre Company team and can’t wait to see all the wonderful work we will create.

Maggie Bantner

Sound Apprentice
Maggie is delighted to be joining the Lake Dillon Theatre Company this summer. She is a student at Oberlin College, where she is working towards her BA in Theatre with a concentration in Sound Production and Design. Previous credits include Oberlin College MainStage’s Cabaret (Audio Engineer), the Ogunquit Playhouse’s IRNE nominated An American in Paris (A3), and Oberlin MainStage’s Angels in America: Parts I & II (Co-Sound Designer). Maggie also studies electronic music composition with Tom Lopez through the Technology in Music and Related Arts (TIMARA) program at Oberlin Conservatory.

Dustin Bielich

Props Apprentice
Dustin is excited to be joining Lake Dillon Theatre Company this summer. Dustin will be graduating from Oklahoma City University in May and is heading into graduate school in the fall at the University of Arizona pursuing his MFA in Theatre Design & Production emphasizing in scenic and prop design. Dustin would like to thank his friends and family for their continuous love and support.

Elizabeth Walker

Costumes Apprentice
Elizabeth is a senior at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. She is pursuing a BFA in Theatre Design and Technology with an emphasis in costume design and construction. Prior credits include Our Lady of 121st Street (Costume Designer), Pippin (Assistant Costume Designer), and A Macbeth (First Hand). Shannon Mindlin

Patron Services Apprentice
Shannon is set to graduate from Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois this June with a B.A. degree in Theatre Arts and a minor in English Literature. At Knox College, Shannon served as House Manager for the Theatre Advisory Board for the college's 2018-19 season and volunteered her time ushering and house managing since she was a freshman. She also has been seen on the stage as an actor as well. Shannon is so excited to be a part of the Lake Dillon Apprentice Company this summer and to be able to share in all the experiences. Shannon is a Florida Native, which in the cold weather, is equal to being a fish out of water.

Mo Labiaga

Company Management Apprentice

Mo Labiaga received her BA in Theatre Design and Technology with an emphasis in Stage Management and an Arts Entrepreneurship Certificate from her alma mater, University of Northern Colorado. For the time being, Mo is a free-lancer theatre artist. During her free time, she enjoys reading, going out with friends on adventures, finding new restaurants, and attending the circus. Mo is a Spanish citizen, who has lived in Mexico City, Mexico, San Antonio Texas, and Greeley, Colorado. She is loves traveling, exploring new places, and explaining her knowledge in the performing world. This is why she is so excited to be working with The Lake Dillon Theatre Company as a Company Management Apprentice. Some of her favorite shows that she has worked on as a stage manager are Clybourne Park, Major Barbara, Dance Suite: Appalachian Spring, She Kills Monsters, and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

Nate Reid

Development Apprentice
Nate is a 3rd year graduate student at The University of Alabama pursuing his MFA as well as his MBA in Arts Management. Originally from Austin, TX he was previously a Marketing Associate for The New London Barn Playhouse, the Production Management Assistant for the Austin Theatre Alliance and the Moontower Comedy Festival, the Conventional Lighting Technician for Christie Lites Dallas, Assistant Director of The Murder Mystery Co. Dallas troupe, a Teaching Artist for the Dougherty Arts Center, a Sales Representative for Stage Spot, Master Electrician for the Georgetown Palace Theater and an Actor whose most recent credits include two national tours with Dallas Children’s Theater, The Storywranglers and Literacy to Life, Theatre Britain, The City Theater, The Royal Pretenders and as a voiceover artist for Funimation. He is overjoyed to share this space and time with such a welcoming and talented community of artists and theatre lovers. Roll Tide!

Emilia Anderson

Marketing Apprentice
Emilia will be completing her senior year this December at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota. She is a Mass Communications major with an emphasis in Public Relations and a minor in Marketing. She is involved in several clubs at the University where her duties include marketing, event planning and promotion for all of them. In her free time, she enjoys doing anything and everything outdoors especially slacklining in the summer and snowboarding in the winter! She loves to travel and has so many places left to visit on her bucket list. A few fun facts about Emilia are; she lived in Hawaii for a semester while she did a National Student Exchange program, She is left-handed, and she has a very bad addiction to shoes.

Matthew McBee

Digital Content Apprentice
Matthew McBee graduated from South Park High School in 2018. He is currently attending Colorado Mountain College and will be attending the University of Colorado in the fall of 2020. Matthew enjoys hiking, dirt bike riding, and everything about photography. His deep-rooted passion for telling stories has also taken home in the world of videography as well.
