Katie Schmidt is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She currently serves as the Comprehensive DBT Program Coordinator at the Summit Community Care Clinic School Based Health Centers. She specializes in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy for adolescents that have experienced traumatic events and suicidal ideation. She also specializes in early childhood psychotherapy and child centered play therapy with elementary students. She is trained in Comprehensive DBT, DBT for adolescents, DBT-PE and EMDR trauma modalities as well as substance use disorder treatments. Katie has been with the clinic since 2014 providing individual psychotherapy, group therapy and parent coaching. She also works with FIRC to facilitate parent and family enrichment classes.
