A Letter from the Producing Artistic Director, Chris Alleman

WOW!   What a summer we’ve had, so far!

As we close XANADU and open THE REVOLUTIONISTS we wanted to reflect on the challenges, successes, and joy that we have experienced this summer.   Our staff, board and community have been extraordinarily supportive as we produced six shows, seven youth camps, and launched our Dual Language After School Theater Program at two additional schools.  We’ve said hello and goodbye to countless summer staff and just welcomed our passionate and talented Teaching Artists who will be with us for 10 months as they spread the love of theater and provide much needed FREE after school care to over 115 students a day at Silverthorne, Dillon Valley and Summit Cove Elementary Schools.

As we look to the future – we have some exciting programs and news.   Bob Moore will be presenting his Signature Concert “So Far, So Good” at the end of September and I, personally, can’t wait for the Holidays and our fantastic production of HOLIDAY FOLLIES.   Last year, this show brought down the houses each night with joyous music, amazing dancing, laughter and holiday merriment – ALL THINGS WE NEED!

We will also be unveiling some incredible news about the Lake Dillon Theatre Company – including a new Strategic Plan that will focus on Outstanding Experiences.  Most importantly and most exciting – we will be announcing A NEW NAME for the organization.    In March of this year, the LDTC enthusiastically embarked on the exciting and daunting task of renewing our strategic plan (mentioned above) and beginning a bold rebranding of the organization.   Part of this rebranding will be a new name.   Although we love our roots, the Lake Dillon Theatre Company name no longer represents our organization.   Don’t worry – we will always be the intimate, professional, welcoming theater producing high quality art and entertainment for you.   It’s just time for the Cover to match the Book!

Thank you for being a part of our family and organization.  Thank you for purchasing tickets.   And thank you for thinking of us with your end of year charitable giving.   We seriously could not do this without you as contributions make up 50% of our operating budget.   THANK YOU.   Please let us know if we can answer any questions you have about the organization or if you’d like to sit and talk with us about your charitable gift or legacy considerations.

Enjoy the Performance –

Chris Alleman
